Performance Test Engineer

Salary: £67,000 - 107,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Eggplant Performance
• Experience testing cloud-based applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and non-functional requirements
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting skills in Python or JavaScript
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Desirable: Knowledge of Kafka, IBM MQ, ELK Stack, Tableau, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Git
• Desirable: Experience embedding performance testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Desirable: Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in testing

Responsibilities:

• We design and execute performance testing strategies and test plans
• We perform load, stress, endurance, and volume testing
• We analyze test results and provide performance improvement recommendations
• We monitor applications using Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, and Dynatrace
• We integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
• We collaborate with developers and architects to resolve performance issues
