Requirements:

• Experience implementing data governance frameworks and/or other data management practices.
• Experience with metadata and data quality tooling.
• Experience managing and reporting to internal and external stakeholders at senior levels.
• Good understanding of key UK and European regulatory and statutory requirements, including FCA, PRA, BAFIN, GDPR/DPA, European Central Bank, and European Banking Authority.
• Qualification in data governance or data management, such as DAMA CDMP, is desirable.
• Experience working in an agile environment is desirable.
• Financial services experience is desirable.
• Business partnering experience is desirable.
• High level of motivation, flexibility, drive, and personal commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of our Data Governance framework and policy to achieve effective data ownership for critical data.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand key business drivers, priorities, and challenges to enable a strategic and value-adding Data Governance approach.
• Work with business areas and data domains to help them establish effective metadata management using our approved data catalogue tool.
• Become an expert in our approved data catalogue tool, train others in its use, and resolve issues when required.
• Work with business areas and data domains to help them establish effective data quality monitoring using appropriate tooling.
• Support colleagues with devising data quality rules, threshold setting, and data quality reporting to identify and address data that is not fit for purpose.

• Support the establishment of Data Governance performance metrics reporting to monitor adoption and effectiveness.
• Produce the monthly Data Governance performance metrics reporting and present it to stakeholders, including the Data Governance Committee and Head of Data.
• Manage the Quality Management checklist for Data Governance items, including ensuring changes to sensitive data flows are maintained in the IT Architecture tool.

We are recruiting for a Data Governance Analyst in Milton Keynes, with 2 days on site. This role plays a critical part in enabling our business to implement the Data Governance framework and policy, establish data ownership, and build trust in our data. You will collaborate across the business to support metadata management, safe and easy access to data, data quality monitoring, and management of data quality issues. You will also help produce governance performance metrics, present updates to key stakeholders, and support the ongoing maintenance of our Data Governance processes. We are seeking someone who is motivated, organised, resilient, and interested in developing their data governance knowledge and business awareness. Compensation is listed at £500–£600.
