Senior Security Principal, Identity Security

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and qualifications.
• Extensive experience in identity and access management, identity security, cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise IAM environments.
• Experience leading identity security initiatives, architecture reviews, and transformation programmes within large-scale organisations.
• Strong track record of influencing security outcomes across complex enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
• Strong knowledge of identity governance, privileged access management, Conditional Access, and modern authentication technologies.
• Experience with federation, single sign-on, application identity, and identity lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of MFA, FIDO2, Windows Hello for Business, certificate-based authentication, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of PKI, certificate services, trust models, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience investigating identity security incidents and leveraging Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Defender for Identity, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership capabilities.
• Ability to lead strategic initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
• Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate UK security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior technical authority within our global cybersecurity organisation.
• Help define and drive our identity security strategy, architecture, governance, and engineering excellence across complex, highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Lead initiatives spanning Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, privileged access management, identity governance, authentication technologies, workload identities, and certificate services.
• Work closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and business stakeholders.
• Design and implement secure identity solutions that reduce risk, strengthen access controls, and support enterprise transformation programmes.
