Cloud & Network Architect Oracle Retail Migration

Salary: £143,750 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions, and 8+ years in technology overall.
• We require experience with at least one Oracle Retail migration from on-premises to SaaS.
• We need strong architecture experience across hybrid environments, cloud networking, routing, firewalls, DNS, identity, and security.
• We need deep knowledge of OCI and Azure platform patterns, connectivity, segmentation, resilience, and shared services.
• We need hands-on experience with hybrid networking, including Verizon SDI and SWAN, routing domains, QoS, and failover testing.
• We need expertise in identity and access management, including Azure AD/Entra ID, federation/SSO, conditional access, and privileged access.
• We value the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• We require experience delivering architecture governance and technical assurance for large-scale programmes.

Responsibilities:

• We will lead infrastructure architecture for critical cloud and hybrid programmes, ensuring platforms are secure, resilient, and fit for purpose.
• We will act as the primary architecture contact for the Oracle Retail SaaS migration, covering networking, identity, security, hosting, and operational readiness.
• We will design and assure hybrid connectivity patterns across Verizon SDI, SWAN, OCI, Azure, and SaaS platforms.
• We will produce architecture artefacts including target architectures, solution blueprints, low-level designs, and operational handover documentation.
• We will influence stakeholders across technology and business teams, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable decisions.
• We will govern technical delivery to ensure alignment with architecture standards and non-functional requirements.

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect to support a major transformation programme, including the migration of Oracle Retail 15.x to Oracle Retail SaaS and broader hybrid cloud modernisation across OCI, Azure, and on-premises environments. This is an outstanding contract opportunity to join us on a 6-month contract, subject to extension, with hybrid working and 2 days per week in Reading. The role is inside IR35 with a day rate of £575 to £600.
