Senior Security Operations Engineering Manager (m/w/d)

Tasks

As Senior Security Operations Engineering Manager (m/w/d) located in Germany, you grow NVISO's Security Operations Engineering (SOE) business and lead its senior delivery capability. You are responsible for commercial growth, delivery performance and functional management of the experienced SOE population.

SOE delivers consultancy projects for strategic customers in defense, energy, space, finance, retail and other industries. Our work covers SOC management, SOC design, SIEM and detection engineering, SOC automation and vulnerability management. You have a strong SOC background, but your main focus is to win work, grow customers and help teams deliver it well.

You report to the Solution Lead for Security Operations Engineering and work closely with the CEN Service Line Lead and partners.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Owning the SOE revenue target and sales pipeline, covering new business, expansion of existing accounts and follow-on work;
• Building customer relationships and leading proposals, SOWs, RFP responses and tenders, with partners approving final commercial commitments;
• Working with team leaders to manage delivery quality, customer satisfaction, staffing, utilisation, profitability and delivery risk;
• Acting as a senior escalation point for complex customer and delivery matters, and contributing to selected high-end projects;
• Providing functional leadership to team leaders and SOE consultants with six or more years of relevant experience in their SOC field of expertise;
• Coaching experienced consultants and contributing to performance, career, staffing, development, retention and recruitment decisions;
• Bringing customer and delivery feedback to the Solution Lead to support the development of the SOE portfolio.

Requirements

• You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or the Austrian citizenship;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience;
• At least eight years of experience in cyber security, with a strong foundation in security operations, SOC consulting or a closely related field;
• At least three years of experience in business development, sales, account management or a commercially oriented consulting role;
• Demonstrable experience growing cyber-security services through new business, customer expansion and long-term account development;
• Experience shaping and delivering complex professional-services engagements, including proposals, SOWs, RFP responses or tenders;
• Strong understanding of SOC operating models, SOC management, SIEM engineering and detection engineering;
• Experience managing consulting delivery, including customer expectations, quality, staffing, utilisation, profitability and delivery risk;
• Experience leading, coaching or functionally managing experienced cyber-security professionals and/or team leaders;
• Fluent business English and professional fluency in the relevant local language(s).
