Software Engineering Team Lead

Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience as a Team Lead, Senior Engineer or Engineering Lead
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience
• Experience delivering software within Agile environments
• Ability to influence technical decisions and mentor engineers
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• A passion for building quality software and improving engineering practices
• Desirable: Financial Services / FinTech experience
• Desirable: React and TypeScript
• Desirable: CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Desirable: Monitoring and observability tools including Grafana or Prometheus
• Desirable: Interest in AI-enabled software development

• Provide technical leadership across software engineering teams
• Guide software design, architecture and engineering best practice

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer or Team Lead who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring engineers and shaping engineering practices. The role is predominantly hands-off, although you will be expected to get stuck into development when timelines are tight.
