Senior Security Monitoring and Response Analyst

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require direct experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• We require experience in incident response or digital forensics.
• We require demonstrated experience across cybersecurity disciplines such as vulnerability research, network traffic analysis, static and dynamic malware analysis, digital forensics, memory analysis, web security, and threat hunting.
• We prefer experience creating queries and alerts in a SIEM, ideally using SPL.
• We prefer experience with Windows and Unix OS forensics.
• We prefer experience with cloud security across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• We prefer experience with NDR and EDR solutions.
• We prefer familiarity with Indicators of Compromise, Indicators of Attack, and ATT&CK tools, techniques, and procedures.
• We require strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
• We prefer CISSP, GIAC certifications, or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• We provide monitoring coverage, triage, and investigation of escalated alerts from multiple sources.
• We respond to cybersecurity incidents by applying critical thinking and playbook-driven responses.
• We perform root cause analysis and apply lessons learned to improve our security posture and processes.
• We work closely with security engineering, threat intelligence, insider threat, and managed SOC teams to improve and automate monitoring and response.
• We contribute to our knowledge base, playbooks, and use cases through close collaboration with the team.
• We provide subject matter expertise and proactive support for initiatives and projects.
• We work independently and with cross-functional teams to assess impact, mitigate risk, and resolve security incidents.
