Senior Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need strong experience with C/C++ in embedded systems, including multithreading.
• We need extensive knowledge of digital multimedia, including network streaming.
• We need proficiency in embedded Linux, particularly using OpenEmbedded / Yocto.
• We need demonstrable experience shipping production-grade software.
• We need strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• It is desirable to have experience with open-source audio/video frameworks such as ffmpeg, gstreamer, or mpv.
• It is desirable to have familiarity with OpenGL and graphics development.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, and debug multimedia features including audio, video, and streaming for embedded Linux platforms.
• We evaluate new hardware platforms and provide technical input on architecture and design.
• We collaborate across teams, including support and sales engineering, to resolve technical challenges.
• We contribute to the delivery of new product developments as part of an agile, growing team.
