Requirements:

• Strong experience leading teams and delivering enterprise Java applications in Agile environments
• Java 8+
• Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Microservices and REST APIs
• JUnit 4/5
• AWS
• Experience with Oracle and/or MongoDB
• Jenkins, Maven, and CI/CD
• Git
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Client-facing experience
• Experience producing High Level Designs and architecture artefacts
• Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Glowroot or JProfiler is desirable
• Nice to have: React, Node.js, FreeMarker, Ruby, Gradle, Ansible, GoCD

Responsibilities:

• Lead a Java development team and work with Product Owners, BAs, Testers, and other stakeholders
• Design and deliver enterprise web applications and microservices
• Produce and contribute to solution and architecture designs
• Support CI/CD, performance optimisation, and cloud deployments
• Drive best practice across development and delivery

We are hiring a Lead Java Developer for one of our local clients on a 6 month+ contract. The role is outside IR35, offers £377 per day, and requires three days a week in Glasgow with the rest working from home.
