Junior Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Around 1 to 2 years of commercial software development experience
• Strong interest in backend engineering
• Commercial experience with Python and/or Node.js
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL or MongoDB
• Practical commercial exposure to machine learning
• Experience contributing to the deployment of a machine learning solution as part of a team
• Experience must go beyond university coursework or personal projects
• Useful experience with React.js
• Useful experience with Django, Flask or FastAPI
• Useful experience with REST API development
• Useful experience with AWS
• Useful experience with object detection or computer vision
• Useful experience with Git
• Useful experience with CI/CD or DevOps practices

Responsibilities:

• Help develop and maintain software applications used in a real-world commercial environment
• Build backend services and APIs using Python and Node.js
• Work with PostgreSQL, SQL and MongoDB
• Contribute to React-based frontend applications
• Support the training and deployment of machine learning models
• Work on object detection and computer vision-related functionality
• Deploy and maintain applications using AWS
• Collaborate with developers and other teams to produce clean, scalable and maintainable software
