JavaScript / Node.js Developer

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of commercial software development experience
• Commercial experience with JavaScript
• Experience or exposure to Node.js
• Understanding of modern software development practices
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in software development and continuous learning
• AI awareness or experience exploring AI tools in a development context
• Desirable: AWS or other cloud platform exposure
• Desirable: Experience working with APIs
• Desirable: Knowledge of databases
• Desirable: TypeScript experience
• Desirable: Any exposure to InDesign would be beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance JavaScript and Node.js applications
• Build new features and improve existing functionality
• Work on cloud-hosted applications with exposure to AWS
• Collaborate with developers to design and deliver robust solutions
• Contribute to code reviews and development best practices
• Learn how applications are deployed, monitored, scaled, and maintained
• Use AI tools responsibly to improve development workflows and productivity
• Work on real-world products and services that are actively used by customers
