Job Description
Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience leading Data Science teams in a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistics, Python and SQL.
- Experience developing and deploying predictive models using customer and commercial data.
- Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
- Commercially focused with the ability to prioritise and deliver high-impact outcomes.
- We lead, coach and develop a high-performing Data Science team.
- We own and deliver the Data Science roadmap, prioritising work based on business value.
- We oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models, including churn, customer lifetime value, forecasting, segmentation and recommendation.
- We ensure solutions are scalable, robust, governed and production-ready.
- We partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate commercial challenges into data-driven solutions.
- We drive best practice in data science, model governance and technical delivery.
- We deliver measurable business value through the effective use of data science.

We are a retail organisation looking for a Data Scientist Manager to lead our Customer Data function. This is a Southampton-based role requiring attendance 2-3 days a month.
