AWS SME Architect

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need proven experience in AWS Solution Architecture or Cloud Architecture roles.
• We need strong knowledge of AWS networking, compute, storage, security, identity, and governance services.
• We need experience with cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation, and hybrid cloud environments.
• We need hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, AWS CLI, and CI/CD pipelines.
• We need expertise in services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and Route 53.
• We need excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We design and deliver AWS cloud architectures and landing zones.
• We provide technical leadership and architectural governance across projects.
• We lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives.
• We implement and promote Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• We ensure AWS environments meet security, compliance, resilience, and performance requirements.
• We drive automation, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices using AWS DevOps tools and GitHub Actions.
• We collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop cloud strategies and roadmaps.
• We mentor engineering teams and act as the escalation point for complex AWS-related challenges.

We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale Amazon Web Services solutions. As our AWS Subject Matter Expert, you will provide technical leadership across cloud transformation initiatives and help shape cloud strategy, best practices, and governance frameworks.
