Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and the full Software Development Life Cycle
• Good understanding of MS .NET Framework environments
• Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology
• Knowledge of cloud and AI technologies that can be adopted into the workplace
• Extensive experience working as a software and solutions architect
• Experience designing high-level concepts for software solutions
• Experience developing Azure cloud-based and on-premises solutions
• DevOps and SCRUM experience
• Experience in cloud migration planning and execution

Responsibilities:

• Create and improve architectural standards for on-premises and Azure cloud software products
• Develop cloud migration procedures and guidelines
• Assist with cloud migration projects, assess readiness and dependencies, and optimize solutions for the cloud
• Create and review blueprints for software products and provide guidance on improving architecture
• Code mission-critical components and perform code reviews
• Assist with integrating AI technologies to improve existing systems
• Ensure applications align with compliance and regulatory standards and conduct regular security assessments
• Produce technical documentation
• Assist developers with architecture-related issues and queries

More:

We are recruiting for a Solutions Architect / Application Architect role with a Tier 1 bank based in Canary Wharf. This is a 6-month contract with a very likely extension, working on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in our Canary Wharf office. The rate is £600 per day inside IR35. The role involves working on software architecture, cloud migration, Azure and on-premises solutions, and the integration of AI technologies within a regulated banking environment.
