AI Platform Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with Python and/or Java, plus cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based application development, including RAG, agents, and copilots
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Strong understanding of scalable, production-grade system design
• Comfortable working across experimentation and live deployment environments

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable back-end services and APIs to support AI/LLM-powered features
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI models in production
• Integrate cloud-hosted or locally hosted LLMs into live products
• Build RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and prompt/conversation systems
• Collaborate with data, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability for AI-driven services
• Own the full lifecycle from experimentation and prototyping through to production deployment
