Engineering Solution Architect

Salary: £48,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 10+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar senior engineering role.
• We require hands-on experience with Avaloq.
• We require proven experience designing and/or leading SaaS-to-on-premise migrations, or similar infrastructure transformation initiatives.
• We require strong knowledge of on-premise infrastructure design, including networking, storage, security, and deployment considerations.
• We require the ability to assess complex existing systems and translate findings into a clear, practical, and actionable migration plan.
• We require strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present technical strategy effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience working in regulated industries, especially financial services, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with core banking or wealth management platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• We define the end-to-end migration strategy and target architecture for transitioning core systems from a SaaS environment to on-premise infrastructure.
• We assess the current SaaS-based setup, identifying dependencies, risks, and constraints.
• We produce a clear roadmap outlining the steps, sequencing, and technical considerations required to execute the migration successfully.
• We work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure the proposed approach is technically sound, secure, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.
• We act as the primary technical point of contact for the migration.
• We provide direction to delivery teams and ensure stakeholders are kept informed of progress, risks, and key decisions throughout the engagement.
