Solutions Architect, AWS Startups

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience within specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience in technical engineering
• Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading English
• Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps
• Passion for technology and learning
• Experience in customer-facing roles
• AWS certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, or similar cloud certification
• Experience designing, building, refactoring, or operating large-scale and impactful IT systems on premises or in the cloud
• Knowledge of a modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, or Java, and/or scripting and Infrastructure as Code
• In-depth working knowledge in a technology domain such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads, high-performance databases, complex networking implementations, or highly secured workloads

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice architectures aligned with their long-term business outcomes
• Act as a trusted advisor for startups and provide guidance based on the customers best interests
• Work backwards from customer priorities and identify inventive ways to add value using AWS and partner technologies
• Capture and share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap for new AWS features and services
• Contribute to or update technical content and reference architectures such as white papers, code samples, and blog posts
• Evangelize and educate customers through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, and conferences
• Meet with multiple customers each week to design and operate well-architected solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams and experts to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures
• Help customers understand AWS capabilities and the art of the possible
