Identity Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year
Requirements:- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
- In-depth knowledge of GCP services, architecture, and best practices.
- Proven experience in designing and building secure and scalable distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including secure coding and threat modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Terraform DevOps experience with 5 years in GCP is mandatory, and the ability to work independently.
- GoLand DevOps experience with 4 years is mandatory.
- Google Cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer are preferred.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Experience with Google Identity and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of identity management protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth is a plus.
- Design, develop, and implement core functionalities of Googles platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and security, to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Work on integrating Googles identity solutions using industry standards like SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
- Implement strong security measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Actively participate in code reviews, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of technical specifications and design decisions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Architect solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
- Design, implement, and scale systems that enable secure and seamless user authentication across various platforms and applications.
