Requirements:

• Strong SQL and Snowflake experience.
• Data engineering and ETL/ELT development experience.
• Dimensional modelling experience using Kimball methodology.
• dbt development experience and familiarity with engineering best practices.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and CI/CD.
• Python development experience for automation and data processing.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
• Previous experience in Financial Services, Asset Management or Wealth Management.
• Desirable: .NET/C# experience.
• Desirable: React / TypeScript experience.
• Desirable: Power BI experience.
• Desirable: advanced Snowflake capabilities such as Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Snowflake data models, transformations and pipelines.
• Build and enhance dbt models, testing frameworks and deployment processes.
• Develop Python utilities and services for data integration and automation.
• Support Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control, code reviews and deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability and supportability.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.

We are seeking a hands-on Software/Data Engineer to join our modern data platform team delivering analytics, reporting and AI-enabled solutions. This role is based in London with hybrid working, requiring three days onsite each week. The position is a contract running until the end of the year and is inside IR35, with a day rate of up to £490. We work across Snowflake, Azure, Python and CI/CD, with some exposure to .NET/C# and React/TypeScript environments.
