Mid Level Golang

Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Go
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Solid experience with AWS
• Strong experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong engineering background delivering projects end-to-end
• Experience with microservices architecture

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Go
• Take ownership of key backend components from design through to deployment
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and backend services
• Contribute to architectural decisions around performance, scalability, and security
• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards

We are hiring a Backend Developer to take ownership of key backend systems, work primarily in Go and AWS, and help mentor junior engineers as our team grows. This is a permanent position based in London with 1–2 days per week on-site, and the salary is £80,000–£90,000.
