Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Consultant with strong cyber security knowledge and GRC capability.
• We need someone with proven experience supporting compliance with the Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations.
• We require the credibility to engage effectively with technical teams, programme leads, and senior stakeholders.
• We are looking for someone with strong delivery discipline and the ability to hold others to account.
• Experience supporting compliance processes, evidence management, and audit-ready documentation is essential.
• Familiarity with process improvement, documentation tooling, and automation tools such as Power Automate and dashboards is highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• We will rely on you to act as the operational lead for our Cyber Compliance team, coordinating priorities and day-to-day assurance activity.
• You will lead and oversee NIS determination activities, ensuring assessments are completed accurately and consistently.
• You will hold teams to account for gathering, validating, and maintaining NIS compliance evidence.
• You will review compliance determinations, challenge gaps, and ensure evidence meets regulatory and audit expectations.
• You will provide assurance across NIS activities, risk assessments, and control implementation.
• You will drive continuous improvement by streamlining compliance processes, documentation, and tooling.
• You will maintain and improve compliance artefacts and guidance, including materials hosted on SharePoint.
• You will support the automation of compliance and reporting processes, including Power Automate and dashboards.
• You will support and mentor junior team members, onboarding them into NIS determination and evidence processes.

We are seeking a Senior / Lead Cyber Security Consultant to join our Cyber Compliance function supporting compliance with the Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations. This is an Inside IR35 contract paying £500 to £575 per day, with a primarily remote working arrangement and travel to London or Birmingham at most once a month. The assignment is set to start as soon as possible and runs until March 2027, with extensions highly likely. We offer an opportunity to take on an operational leadership role in a high-impact compliance team, working with technical teams, programme leads, and senior stakeholders to deliver robust assurance and ongoing regulatory compliance.
