Digital Developer – Full Stack

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking an experienced Digital Developer / Full Stack Developer.
• We need experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript and Python.
• We need experience building secure APIs and backend services using Python, FastAPI or Flask.
• We need experience working with Elasticsearch, SQL databases and search indexes.
• We need experience implementing OAuth2 authentication, including Microsoft Entra ID integration.
• We need experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and cloud deployments.
• We need experience with Azure and AWS.
• We need experience working with Git, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST APIs, UX/UI and Agile ways of working.
• Desirable experience includes PyGeoAPI, Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop and maintain modern, secure and accessible web applications.
• We develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• We build and integrate secure APIs and backend services using Python, FastAPI or Flask.
• We work with Elasticsearch, SQL databases and search indexes.
• We implement OAuth2 authentication, including Microsoft Entra ID integration.
• We participate in coding, testing, debugging, code reviews and application optimisation.
• We support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and cloud deployments.
• We collaborate with UX, Design, Product and technical teams in an Agile environment.
• We maintain technical documentation and enhance existing applications.

We are recruiting a Digital Developer / Full Stack Developer for a hybrid role based in Exeter, UK, on a 6-month contract. You will work across the full development lifecycle on high-impact digital services, using Next.js, React, TypeScript and Python, and integrating with internal APIs and platforms across Azure and AWS. This is a hands-on role for a developer who enjoys working across the frontend and backend stack in a collaborative Agile environment.
