Platform Architect

Salary: £38,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:

• Commercial Red Hat OpenShift platform architecture experience is essential
• Enterprise Kubernetes platform architecture and platform lifecycle management experience
• Experience designing, evolving and governing production container platforms
• Experience in platform engineering, microservices and cloud-native technologies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CI/CD and automation
• Experience in hybrid cloud and/or on-premise platform environments
• Experience with high availability, resilience, disaster recovery and platform security
• Experience working within large enterprise, managed services or regulated environments
• We require applicants to be Sole UK Nationals and eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance; active SC is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• We will expect you to take ownership of the architecture and evolution of large-scale Red Hat OpenShift platforms supporting business-critical services
• We will rely on you to define platform strategy and influence technical direction
• We will need you to ensure our enterprise OpenShift platforms remain secure, resilient and scalable as they evolve
• We will look to you to solve platform-wide challenges and set architectural standards
• We will expect you to shape long-term platform strategy
• We will want you to work closely with engineering teams to evolve our enterprise platforms

We are recruiting for a Principal Platform Architect to join us in a hybrid role based in the Reading area, with two days per week on site. This is a senior architecture opportunity with a salary of up to £110,000 plus bonus. The role focuses on defining the strategy and governance for large-scale Red Hat OpenShift platforms within complex enterprise environments, rather than hands-on engineering.
