Senior Scala Engineer – Equity Derivatives Tech VP

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require hands-on professional software development experience at a senior level.
• We require proven experience defining technical architectures and leading complex projects through to delivery.
• We require proficiency in object-oriented and functional programming.
• We require rigorous application of clean code and TDD principles.

• We require working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Couchbase.
• We require the ability to create and maintain project builds using Gradle and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Tekton.
• We require experience building and deploying containerised applications, for example using OpenShift.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related software programming or systems engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:

• We work with business stakeholders and business analysts to define new projects, ensure requirements are complete, and agree priorities.
• We evolve SolstiCE technical architecture, data flows, and integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
• We design new core functionality.
• We implement and deliver new features to expand product and use-case coverage and increase system adoption for critical business processes.
• We ensure ongoing system robustness and stability.
• We coordinate our teams response to production issues.
• We coach and mentor less experienced team members to improve the standard of work.
