Data Quality Manager - Geospatial/LiDAR
Job Description
Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience working with data quality tools and frameworks such as Collibra or DAMA-DMBOK
- Solid understanding of GIS platforms including ArcGIS and QGIS
- Experience handling geospatial data formats such as Shapefiles and GeoJSON
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and regulatory requirements
- Experience working within Government, Infrastructure, Utilities, or similar regulated sectors is preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise competing workloads and manage deadlines effectively
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Immediate Right to Work in the UK
- Take ownership of geospatial data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all data assets
- Define clear data quality standards as part of a wider governance framework
- Work closely with data owners to embed best practices into everyday processes
- Monitor data quality and performance against agreed standards
- Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and consistency
- Implement tools and processes to enhance data quality across the data lifecycle
- Carry out data cleansing, validation, and quality checks
- Analyse data issues and recommend practical solutions
- Feed insights and improvement priorities into agile development and release plans
- Support the continuous improvement of data management processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards of data quality
