Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Platform Architect

Salary: £57,000 - 63,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require current National Security Vetting aligned to a UK National Security organisation.
• We are seeking proven experience helping clients shape and deliver technology-enabled change that delivers value, security, agility and efficiency.
• We need experience developing enterprise-level technology strategies and contributing to associated programs of work.
• We require experience delivering complex, large-scale architectural solutions in cloud or hybrid environments and integrating cloud platforms into the wider enterprise.
• We need experience creating a coherent enterprise-level operating environment.
• We require a strong understanding of enterprise MI and near real-time observability for operations.
• We need strong knowledge of traditional platform delivery approaches, technologies and operating models, and a thorough appreciation of the major cloud platforms: GCP, Azure and AWS.
• We require the ability to balance trade-offs between one-size-fits-all and landing-zone-specific solutions.
• We need a thorough appreciation of operating models across legacy and cloud environments, with the ability to contribute to operating model design and implementation.
• We require experience managing technical reviews and assessments of cloud strategy, roadmaps, cloud data models, cloud integration and cloud migration tools.

• Ideally, we would like recognised industry qualifications appropriate to the role and seniority.

Responsibilities:

• We will expect you to provide credible and informative thought leadership based on real-life experience.
• We will expect you to design and build cloud and technology roadmaps, implementation strategies, transformation plans and high-level architecture.
• We will expect you to provide impartial assessment of cloud strategy and vendor technology proposals.
• We will expect you to provide broad and detailed insight across technology areas including integration and hybrid hosting scenarios.
• We will expect you to contribute to the development of vibrant and profitable Cloud and Defence Consulting practices.
• We will expect you to work with colleagues to maximise the use of our knowledge and experience.
• We will expect you to share knowledge by coaching and advising colleagues.
• We will expect you to develop strong client relationships with stakeholders, understand their business problems, and identify commercial opportunities for KPMG.
• You will act as a trusted cloud technologist, outlining the overall technical vision to business leaders and helping the enterprise deliver a viable solution.
• You will support customers throughout the transformation journey and help ensure the successful implementation of major change.

The role may be based in any of our UK offices, with on-site working expected for a couple of days each week when not on client site, and significant UK travel may be required depending on the project.
