IT Support Engineer

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or Help Desk role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across hardware and software.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune is highly desirable.
• An understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP and basic server environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with hands-on hardware installations and equipment deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second line IT support via the help desk.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Log, prioritise, and manage support tickets through to resolution.
• Install and configure PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Intune environments.
• Provide remote support to end users.
• Assist with desktop builds, imaging, and device deployments.
• Support basic networking, server administration, and security tasks where required.
• Maintain IT assets, documentation, and inventory records.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working to agreed service levels.

We are recruiting for an IT Support Engineer (Help Desk) to join our busy IT team in West Malling on a 2-3 month temporary contract. This is a hands-on role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a shift rota between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £25.00 to £30.00 depending on experience, an immediate start, and the chance to gain experience in a varied technical support environment with a friendly and supportive IT team within a well-established organisation.
