Software Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £26,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- HND or degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of five years software development experience
- Strong VB.NET programming skills within an engineering or industrial environment
- Experience of, or interest in, machine control, motion control, or hardware integration
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple technical projects
- Experience with PLCs or laser control systems would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Design, develop, and maintain software that controls complex engineering systems
- Work closely with engineering, production, and customers to deliver software solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support global installations
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of innovative products
- Take part in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through testing, implementation, and continuous improvement

We are recruiting for an experienced Software Systems Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Bridgend. You will be joining a successful UK manufacturer of advanced, high-tech equipment supplied to customers across the globe. This is a technically challenging role offering exposure to the full software development lifecycle, along with negotiable salary depending on experience, Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 1:30pm working hours, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, enhanced pension, company bonus scheme, full training, and ongoing support.
