Requirements:- Must hold SC Clearance
- Strong experience supporting enterprise Oracle and Elasticsearch environments
- Support and maintenance of legacy applications and infrastructure
- CI/CD pipeline development and support
- Automated testing and code refactoring
- Experience with Nginx, Apache Tomcat and HTTP services
- Experience with ETL processes
- Experience with containerisation and virtualisation, including Docker and VMware
- Experience with Elasticsearch administration and support
- Oracle 11 administration experience, including RAC, RMAN and Partitioning
- Experience with auditing and protective monitoring integrations
- Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Oracle Solaris environments
- Experience with WebLogic
- Experience with PL/SQL
- Experience with Java SE/Java EE
- Experience with EJB/JSP
- Experience with Python
- Experience with GIS technologies such as OpenLayers and MapServer
- Experience with MinIO
- Experience with Cognitec FaceVACS
- Provide L3 support and problem resolution for critical production systems
- Maintain and enhance legacy infrastructure and applications
- Implement changes within complex legacy environments
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms
- Produce and maintain technical documentation
- Perform peer reviews and maintain engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Advise on and implement CI/CD and automation improvements

We are hiring a DevOps / Platform Engineer for one of our local clients on a £550 p/d Inside IR35, remote, 6 month+ contract basis. This role supports a critical policing platform within a legacy Oracle-based environment. We offer the opportunity to work across application, database, infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD improvements in a complex enterprise setting. The role sits within a team supporting legacy platforms and technologies including Oracle, Elasticsearch, VMware, Docker, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Solaris, Windows Server, IBM Initiate MDM, and related middleware and platform services.
