Senior Data Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced data engineer proficient in SSIS, SSRS, and SQL.
• Experience with Fabric and Azure would be beneficial, although we provide full training if you do not have prior experience with this stack.
• You have experience writing clear documentation.
• You have successfully optimised data warehouse platforms for better performance in current or previous roles.
• You are looking for a role where you can contribute ideas and help drive the technical direction of a team.

Responsibilities:

• We are migrating our established off-premise data warehouse platform from SSIS, SSRS, and T-SQL to Fabric and Azure.
• We will train you in Fabric and Azure as part of the role.
• You will spend around 70% of your time developing and building solutions and 30% supporting and maintaining what you have built.
• You will take full ownership of the work you deliver.
• You will produce documentation and share knowledge across the team.
• You will contribute ideas to help shape the technical direction of the team.

We are a Swansea-based business growing our data team with a Senior Data Engineer. We offer a salary of up to £70,000, plus a 20% bonus and 10% pension. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Swansea office. You will join a small team of five, including a Team Lead, two senior engineers, and two mid-level engineers, with a wider data community of 30 colleagues across the business. We are offering full training in Fabric and Azure as we modernise our data platform.
