Technical Author

Salary: £53,040 - 53,040 per year

Requirements:

• Recent S1000D experience
• Experience with XML editing software
• Current DBS clearance or ability to pass a DBS check
• Able to provide our own Windows 11-compatible IT equipment

Responsibilities:

• Produce and review high-quality technical documentation using S1000D
• Author and edit technical publications using XML editing software
• Act as the technical point of contact, ensuring documentation is accurate and delivered to project milestones
• Review draft publications for quality, accuracy and compliance
• Support documentation processes and continuous improvement initiatives

We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Author to join a leading defence client on an IR35 inside contract. The role is fully remote, offered initially for 6 months with a strong likelihood of extension, and is paid at £25.50 per hour on an umbrella rate. We require someone who has or can pass a DBS check and who can provide their own Windows 11-compatible IT equipment.
