Systems Administrator

Salary: £40,200 - 40,200 per year

Requirements:

• We have experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments
• We have experience managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• We can support and maintain Windows Server environments
• We have experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office applications and end-user productivity tools in a business environment
• We can diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical infrastructure and systems issues effectively
• We can travel regularly between our Leeds Federated hubs, Head Office, and other operational sites
• We have strong communication skills and can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues
• We can work independently using our own initiative, while collaborating effectively within a wider IT team

Responsibilities:

• We monitor infrastructure systems to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security of IT services
• We administer and support infrastructure systems including the Microsoft stack, Sophos, servers, and laptops
• We assist with maintaining infrastructure platforms in a secure, stable, and fully operational state
• We provide technical advice and recommendations for the procurement of end-user hardware and software
• We create, review, and maintain technical documentation and user guidance materials
• We ensure company laptops and mobile devices comply with our security and compliance policies
• We deploy, maintain, and upgrade IT infrastructure systems and associated technologies
• We assist with infrastructure deployments and upgrades in line with agreed change control procedures, with minimal disruption to users and services
• We maintain systems so they remain secure, supported, and operational following implementation
• We act as an escalation point for first-line IT support staff
• We provide professional and effective technical support
