Solution Architect

Salary: £19,500 - 35,500 per year

Requirements:

• We have successfully delivered software designs for multi-tiered modern software applications.
• We understand whole solution architecture concepts and can communicate and negotiate these with customer architects.
• We can prioritise non-functional concerns for customers and have experience incorporating these into the application design.
• We have experience with public cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings.
• We are able to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation and presentations.
• We are able to make effective decisions within fast-moving delivery.
• We are passionate about developing people, with a demonstrated ability to manage, coach and develop junior members of our team and wider community.
• Proven experience being accountable for all sizes of technology delivery challenges, e.g. project, multi-team programme.
• We have proactively developed business across an account with sales and account managers.
• Experience in managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback and leading performance reviews.
• We are able to prioritise our time across multiple major projects.
• We actively share our thoughts and views on technology.
• We have participated in technology communities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-skilled agile teams to design and deliver high quality solutions that delight our customers and impact the lives of users worldwide.
• Work with customer architects to agree functional and non-functional designs.
• Advise customers and managers on the estimated effort, technical implications and complexity surrounding our designs.
• Manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development.
• Provide direction and leadership for our team as we solve challenging problems together.
• Work with our peers to develop policy and standards, share knowledge and mentor those around us.
• Advise on new technologies and approaches while continuing to learn, develop and grow.
