Software Engineer (TypeScript/React)

Salary: £70,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates who can work fully office-based, 5 days a week in Lafayette, Louisiana.
• We cannot offer visa sponsorship, so applicants must have full working rights in the US.
• We require candidates to already live in the US, although we do offer full relocation support.
• We are looking for commercial experience working with TypeScript, ideally in a React environment.
• We value secondary experience with C# .Net, either .Net Core or WPF/MVVM.
• Experience with other modern web frameworks such as Angular, Vue or Blazor would be beneficial.
• We require cloud knowledge; Azure, AWS or GCP are all acceptable.
• We ideally want a strong working knowledge of REST APIs, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools such as Terraform.
• A degree in a STEM discipline would be ideal, though it is not essential.

Responsibilities:

• We are hiring Software Engineers to join our engineering team in Lafayette.
• We need engineers to work on the migration of a core legacy system from C# WPF into React/TypeScript.
• We want developers who can understand the legacy product while focusing primarily on newer front-end development.
• We are looking for people who can work on real-time systems driven by large data sets.
• We value engineers who have strong ownership of previous projects and the versatility to pick up new skills.
• This is a hands-on coding role within a small team that is set to grow from 2 to 6 engineers.
• The work will involve a substantial body of long-term project work over the next 5 years.
