Software Engineer (ML Projects)

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a skilled software engineer who thrives on building and scaling complex systems.
• We want someone with a proven track record of delivering robust, multi-technology applications within an enterprise environment.

• We care about clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
• Experience with Python is beneficial.
• Experience with Java is beneficial.
• Experience with JavaScript, particularly React, is beneficial.
• Experience with Postgres and SQL is beneficial.
• Experience with AWS and GCP is beneficial.
• Experience with TeamCity for CI/CD is beneficial.
• Experience with Terraform is beneficial.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana is beneficial.
• We are especially keen to speak with people who have built and deployed complex Python applications.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLMs would be especially valuable.

Responsibilities:

• Work with other engineers and data scientists to design, implement, and maintain features that use machine learning models under the hood.
• Create new ML-powered features from scratch.
• Integrate new models into our core banking platform.
• Design robust infrastructure and pipelines.
• Discover and apply new approaches to complex problems.
• Take ownership of solutions from ideation to launch.
• Identify challenges and collaborate across teams to deliver impactful solutions across a range of technologies.
