Job Description

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We have proven production-oriented software engineering experience.
  • We have hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • We have experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • We can code in one or more programming languages.
  • We have experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • We have exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • We have emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
  • We have experience with coding assistants and development harnesses to streamline software delivery.
  • We have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and can critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • We understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
  • We have familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • We have exposure to cloud technologies.
  • We have awareness of AI/ML and GenAI tools and platforms.
  • We have strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • We execute standard software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • We write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  • We design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
  • We apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation.
  • We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • We gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making for secure, stable application development.
  • We learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
  • We contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
  • We leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • We apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain capabilities, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation, to improve the value realized by automation.
