Software Engineer (DSP)

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial C/C++ experience
• Strong real-time embedded software experience
• Experience with DSP / signal processing applications
• Audio DSP knowledge would be highly beneficial
• Experience with filter design, FFT, sample rate conversion, or dynamic range control
• Analog Devices SHARC experience would be a big advantage
• Familiarity with electronics and hardware debugging
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering discipline
• Git, Jira, and Agile experience beneficial
• Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without requiring current or future sponsorship

Responsibilities:

• Develop real-time embedded software for DSP applications
• Develop and implement DSP algorithms and audio processing
• Prototype processing components in MATLAB, then implement them in C
• Write drivers for DSP and PCB peripherals
• Work with DAC/ADC and digital audio circuitry
• Bring up and debug new prototype PCBs
• Work closely with firmware, electronics, and acoustics engineers
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and audio test equipment
• Take part in peer code reviews

We are recruiting for a Software Engineer specialising in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to join our established R&D team in Salisbury. This is a hands-on embedded software role developing firmware that runs on SHARC DSP processors within high-end audio products. You will work from early concepts and prototypes through to developing the software that controls the DSP and processes audio signals. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of circa £55,000 - £60,000 DOE.
