Senior SQL Developer - Glasgow/Edinburgh

Salary: £48,000 - 56,000 per year

Requirements:

• Demonstrable hands-on SQL expertise, including data querying, manipulation and performance tuning
• Experience developing reconciliation tools or working with reconciliation software
• Proven software development experience in a similar role
• SSRS, Power BI or other reporting skills
• Strong unit, end-to-end and acceptance testing skills
• Ability to lead technical projects and liaise with colleagues across different disciplines
• Willingness to mentor internal staff and liaise with external representatives
• Experience with solution configuration and a track record of leading technical projects are described as a good fit for the role

Responsibilities:

• Lead solution configuration as a subject matter expert
• Lead the implementation and testing of low-code solutions
• Scope development and testing projects, including timelines
• Translate requirements into designs and solutions that support business objectives
• Mentor and review team members, provide sign-offs, and validate releases
• Liaise with technical colleagues and other teams to share updates and align work with business goals
• Promote Agile working and best practices, contribute to stand-ups, and identify new trends and technologies that could improve the teams work
