Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) - Servicing

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• Solid backend experience in Java or other JVM languages
• Experience building performant, responsive web applications using React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Strong understanding of clean, scalable, and testable code
• Knowledge of test coverage best practices, the test pyramid concept, and code reviews
• Experience designing and implementing distributed, concurrent systems
• Understanding of tradeoffs between stateful and stateless systems, and synchronous and asynchronous architectures
• Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and cross-functional peers

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy resilient backend microservices in Java (Spring Boot)
• Build intuitive, accessible frontends using React and TypeScript
• Aggregate data across multiple fincrime topologies to create a centralized 360-degree customer risk view
• Develop common components for risk mitigation handling and scalable, standardized workflows for Servicing Agents
• Break down bottlenecks in servicing and compliance processes and deliver adaptable platform solutions
• Own the product journey from problem identification and stakeholder empathy through execution planning and production release
• Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers, Product Managers, Analysts, and Designers
• Understand underlying problems, challenge proposed solutions, and propose simple, effective solutions that protect customers money
