Requirements:

  • You should understand relevant regulatory, commercial, or operational considerations and be recognised as a go-to expert for domain-specific knowledge and decision-making.
  • You should have strong communication and facilitation skills, particularly in complex or ambiguous situations, and be able to influence stakeholders and build alignment without formal authority.
  • You should have a proven ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Design, and customer-facing teams.
  • You should bring advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, using data, insights, and experience to inform decisions and recommendations.
  • You should have a strong focus on quality, with experience setting robust acceptance criteria and delivery standards, balancing pace with completeness and usability, and improving team delivery practices and outcomes.
  • You should be familiar with product and delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
  • You should be comfortable working with technical teams and understanding system architecture, constraints, and dependencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Well rely on you to own, manage, and continually refine product backlogs, ensuring clarity, prioritisation, and alignment with product strategy.
  • Youll translate strategic initiatives and discovery insights into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure backlog items are appropriately sized, sequenced, and ready for delivery.
  • Youll lead backlog refinement and sprint planning, support delivery of complex or high-impact initiatives, and contribute to release planning and coordination of dependencies across teams.
  • Youll act as a senior point of contact for the development team, clarify complex requirements and edge cases, identify and remove blockers, and improve team flow and delivery effectiveness.
  • Youll support and mentor Product Specialists, share best practices, and help build the teams capability.
  • Youll validate work against acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done, guide QA and UAT for complex or high-risk features, and champion strong backlog quality and delivery standards.
  • Youll build stakeholder relationships, manage expectations and competing priorities, facilitate discussions to refine requirements and challenge assumptions, and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Youll analyse product performance, delivery metrics, and team effectiveness; recommend and implement improvements to processes, tools, and ways of working; and help scale consistent product practices across teams.
  • Youll serve as a subject matter expert in your domain, applying industry knowledge to shape solutions, influence prioritisation, improve product design, and ensure solutions reflect industry best practice and deliver customer value.
  • Youll partner with customers and stakeholders as a trusted advisor, particularly in complex or high-value situations.
