Senior Java Developer

Salary: £68,000 - 81,600 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an established Senior Engineer who can coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Experience in financial services, specifically mortgages, is ideal.
• Experience or understanding of a highly regulated industry will be beneficial.
• We want someone who is hungry to keep developing their skills, learning new things and collaborating with the wider team.
• An interest in GenAI is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We focus on feature delivery within product engineering.
• We want you to take on challenging problems, including designing solutions to complex features and writing design documentation.
• You will work within the technical direction set by our Lead Engineer and turn that direction into working software.
• You will hold the quality bar for the team through code review, pairing and the example you set.
• You will lead the delivery of large features.
• You will share knowledge and help less experienced engineers develop their skills.
• You will help influence the technical direction in the role.
