Senior Java Developer

Salary: £130,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong core Java technical skills
• Advocate of test-driven development
• Experienced in delivery automation
• Experience with K8s, Docker, Kafka, and DataStream technologies
• Proficient in SQL and message-driven solutions
• Familiar with agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum
• Experience using Jira
• Critical thinker with problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a global diverse development team
• Ability to assist others through pair programming and knowledge sharing
• Can-do attitude with strong collaboration skills
• Experience partnering with business, operations, developers, architects, and infrastructure teams
• Knowledge of different financial products, particularly in CIB/Equities would be highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the full development lifecycle of a project from design to release in production and post-release supportability
• Design solutions that align technology roadmaps to business strategy
• Conduct high-quality functional design, system, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Work closely with Production Management to deliver a stable and reliable platform under necessary controls
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to investigate issues and drive discussions for solutions
• Aid in enhancing the development practices of the team through knowledge sharing and support
• Partner with business and technical teams to shape the future platform
