Senior Engineer - Software

Salary: £124,800 - 140,337.6 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an engineer with deep technical software engineering knowledge and demonstrated ability across several software development projects to design and deliver robust solutions.
• We are seeking someone with team leading experience.
• Experience managing work and reporting on costs is desirable.
• We prefer a background in software product development and/or delivery, ideally in a large, complex multi-project environment.
• Experience with Ada, C#, and C++ is listed.

Responsibilities:

• We will have the Senior Software Engineer lead activities to develop and commission software engineering work products and supporting artefacts across the software engineering life cycle.
• We will rely on the role to take responsibility for designing, coding, analysing, and verifying software components of the product.
• We expect the role to provide technical leadership to team members and technical oversight for software components or small sub-systems.
• We will have the role define and capture the design of software components to meet identified requirements using appropriate design standards and principles.
• We expect the role to maintain design artefacts and account for changes following software and/or system release.
• We will have the role review and analyse software work products to ensure the software is robust and efficient.
