Senior Data Governance Consultant

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience delivering data governance or data ownership/stewardship models
• Strong understanding of the data lifecycle
• Strategic and operational delivery capability
• Experience translating policy into practical delivery
• Experience working across multiple workstreams in complex environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to support delivery of change and adoption
• Extensive experience working within data governance in a Central Government Department

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of the Data Ownership Model as an enabler of our Data Strategy 2030 ambitions
• Support identification and onboarding of data ownership roles
• Deliver conceptual data model workshops
• Apply data ownership across the data lifecycle and decision making
• Support the Data Governance knowledge hub as the central access point for governance guidance
• Enable engagement between central data management capabilities and business areas
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting delivery and continuous improvement of Data Ownership

We are offering a 9-12 month fixed-term contract in a hybrid working model, with three days in the office. We have locations available in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Blackpool, and Manchester. The role sits within a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering and continuously improving Data Ownership in support of our Data Strategy 2030 ambitions, spanning design through to delivery and embedding enterprise-wide across business areas, policy, and digital and transformation programmes.
