Senior Business Architect

Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year

• We need demonstrable experience developing, implementing and continuously improving Business Architecture practices, standards and frameworks.

• We need experience managing and leveraging external consulting or professional services partners to deliver business outcomes.
• We are looking for excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• We want a strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.
• Experience within a regulated environment is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• We lead and develop a team of Business Architects, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture and supporting professional growth.
• We partner with senior stakeholders to establish, develop and continuously improve the Business Architecture practice.
• We define and implement architecture standards, methodologies, frameworks and governance processes.
• We develop and maintain current-state and future-state business architecture models to support strategic decision-making.
• We create and embed business architecture artefacts, including business capabilities, customer journeys, service patterns and operating model blueprints.
• We provide architectural leadership and assurance across a portfolio of transformation and change initiatives.
• We work closely with Business Analysts, Service Designers, Programme Managers and Technology teams to design effective business solutions.
• We ensure transformation initiatives align with organisational strategy, target operating models and desired business outcomes.
• We manage relationships with external partners and consultancies, ensuring quality delivery and value for investment.
• We influence senior leaders and stakeholders by translating complex business challenges into clear, actionable recommendations and architectural roadmaps.

This Senior Business Architect role focuses on supporting the not-for-profit sector by aligning technology strategies with business needs, helping shape organisational efficiency and deliver impactful solutions. We are creating a Business Architecture Practice to provide architectural leadership across process, people, technology, data and information domains. The position offers a permanent role with a competitive salary of £75,000 to £85,000 depending on experience, along with a standard benefits package.
