Security Engineer

Salary: £48,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of 5 years multi-network experience, including hands-on design and management of secure networks.
• We require experience with Cisco firewalls, routers and switches, and Juniper platforms.
• We require experience using security tools such as SIEM, IPS and IDS.
• We require the ability to communicate network security issues clearly to peers and management.
• We require the ability to quickly absorb, retain and apply knowledge of bespoke products and satellite services.
• We require strong technical competency and a right-first-time, every-time attitude.
• We require the ability to have or obtain SC Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We act as the key expert in cybersecurity design and management for our company and customers.
• We are the final point of contact for security issues, including troubleshooting and resolving issues within tight timescales.
• We participate in our incident management scheme.
• We liaise with other departments as required to ensure full support of networks and maintain knowledge across the business.
• We develop information security plans and policies within our security management and compliance functions.
• We embed security management plans into operational practice.
• We implement protections and solutions to ensure and enforce information security plans and policies.
• We monitor and collate information from monitoring tools and third parties to provide an accurate view of the current security position of the organisation and customers, including security events, ongoing risks and treatment plans.
