Requirements:
  • SC clearance, with willingness to undertake DV clearance
  • Proven experience in Security Architecture within government-cleared environments
  • Practical hands-on experience in security architecture, design, and assessments within programmes, projects, or a product-centric organisation
  • Good understanding of a broad range of industry-standard technologies, both proprietary and open source, across Microsoft and Linux-based deployments, including physical, virtual, and containerised compute
  • Experience securing mobile devices and services, including device management (MDM), policies, and identity solutions
  • Experience working in an architecture function and developing vision, principles, and strategy for security architects across products, projects, and technologies
  • Experience working to, and assisting in the creation of, security standards, blueprints, reference architectures, roadmaps, transition states, and target solutions across multiple services
  • Direct experience interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders and a wide range of people across large teams, departments, suppliers, and customers
  • Experience as an effective process owner and team player
  • Good communication skills across all levels
  • Experience designing solutions using leading-edge security NDR, IDS, and IPS tools such as Corelight, Corvil, FireEye, and Cisco Secure Network Analytics
  • Experience designing or assessing security architectures across modern deployment technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker Swarm/Enterprise, VMware, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Strong networking experience, including mobile networks such as 4G
  • Experience with non-Microsoft operating systems, including iOS for mobile
  • Experience providing security design and architecture expertise across the development lifecycle using both waterfall and agile methods
  • Experience adopting security standards and frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK within public or private sector environments
  • Experience creating and managing user and system usage policy documentation for government systems such as SyOps and ConOps
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical security design and/or provide assurance of technical security design, and justify and communicate design decisions
  • Work closely with the Security function to design architectures utilising leading-edge technologies
  • Help deliver key enhancements and new services in the Tier 2/3 security space
  • Assist in setting the strategic direction for security architecture, including developing and implementing frameworks to maintain acceptable levels of technical risk
  • Recommend security controls and identify solutions that support business objectives
  • Identify subtle security needs and understand the risk impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs and systems
  • Advise on security-related technologies and assess the risk associated with proposed changes
  • Provide specialist advice and recommend approaches across teams and stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholders expectations, adapt to reactions, and reach consensus
  • Drive and create necessary artefacts to help the client organisation deliver rapid change
  • Advise and enable technical teams to make security decisions and provide guidance to ensure effective use of common tools and patterns
  • Proactively deliver secure systems and implement proportionate controls to enable successful business outcomes
