SCADA Visualization Engineer

Requirements:

• We ideally want you to have an HNC/HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering, or preferably a degree, although this is not essential.
• We need you to be an experienced SCADA Visualization Engineer with a strong understanding of PC-based process visualization systems such as WinCC, Iconics, or Ignition; experience with at least two is desirable, and Ignition is preferred.
• We need a good understanding of SCADA systems and, where appropriate, PLC and HMI software.
• Hands-on experience with process visualization systems is required.
• We need you to have a good understanding of the installation and configuration of computer systems and server systems.
• We ideally want you to have an ECS card, or be able to obtain one to work onsite at our customer.
• Gold certification in Ignition would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
• Ability to design graphical user interfaces.
• Ability to create advanced engineering functions and editors, including Tag, Graphics, Alarm, Server/Client, Redundancy, Web Navigator, and Multi-Server.
• Experience with Visual Basic Script (VBS), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and C/C++.
• Experience carrying out project migrations and designing interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• We need you to deliver the assigned project scope and tasks while meeting or exceeding our safety, quality, on-time-delivery, and budget requirements.
• We need you to define the visualization concept and create the specifications.
• We need you to edit overview layouts and customer-specific documents.
• We need you to clarify order details internally with other departments and externally with customers and suppliers.
• We need you to create the entire visualization.
• We need you to commission the systems.
• You will provide occasional system support during the start-up phase until production is handed over.
• You will train customer personnel and our own service employees.

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Visualization Engineer to support our customer onsite five days per week in Leicestershire on a contract basis. The role is available immediately and is inside IR35, paying circa £47 per hour. The contract is initially expected to run until the end of the year, with the possibility of extension into 2027.
