SAP Business Analyst

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need hands-on SAP experience.
• We are open to a mid-level SAP Business Analyst with around 1-4 years experience or an established senior SAP Business Analyst.
• For a mid-level appointment, we expect experience as an SAP Business Analyst, Support Analyst or Key User involved in a system rollout, with foundational knowledge of SAP FI/CO and MM or SD.
• For a senior appointment, we expect around 5 years experience as an SAP Business Analyst with strong functional knowledge across FI/CO, MM and SD.
• We value demonstrable experience across P2P, O2C and R2R processes.
• We prefer experience in full-lifecycle implementation or transformation programmes.
• Direct experience of a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation or template rollout is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit or LSMW is desirable.
• SAP certification in FI, CO, MM or SD is desirable.
• We need strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SAP behaviour in simple language.
• We require someone who is happy to work on site in Stoke-on-Trent five days a week and who can commute locally.

Responsibilities:

• We will have the analyst map legacy AS-IS workflows to standard TO-BE SAP processes, identifying gaps and potential configuration and customisation.
• We will have the analyst elicit and document business requirements through design workshops and user interviews, translating them into Business Requirement Documents for our SAP implementation partner.
• We will have the analyst document business change impacts arising from the TO-BE SAP processes and support our business change workstream, including communications and training.
• We will have the analyst document configuration Change Requests for approval by our programmes Design Authority.
• We will have the analyst support data migration cleansing, extraction and validation of legacy data into the new SAP environment.
• We will have the analyst create test scripts for System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, coordinate testing cycles, and log and track defects through to resolution.
• We will have the analyst develop training manuals, user guides and standard operating procedures, and deliver training sessions to drive adoption.
• We will have the analyst provide hypercare support to business users following go-live.
• After go-live, we will have the analyst own business analysis across our SAP landscape, including process improvement, change requests and continuous improvement.

We are a Stoke-on-Trent manufacturing business working with TalentBank Technology to appoint a permanent SAP Business Analyst for a major greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Stoke-on-Trent, five days a week, and will suit someone local or able to commute comfortably. You will be embedded in the programme from day one, working alongside our Programme Manager and the external SAP integrator as we move from legacy platforms to standard SAP best-practice processes across finance and supply chain/logistics. The role offers a clear path to becoming our long-term SAP Business Analyst once the system is live, and salary will reflect the level of the appointment and experience brought to the role.
