Product Owner - Container Operations Technology

Salary: £44,000 - 84,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, IT Business Partner or a similar role, with accountability for product performance, value delivery and end-to-end outcomes.
• We need the ability to define product vision, roadmaps, priorities and value outcomes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• We value an understanding of product delivery lifecycles, agile or iterative delivery, backlog management and transition into service.
• We require strong analytical, governance and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge demand, balance priorities and build trusted relationships.
• We need commercial awareness, including cost, risk, supplier management, security, compliance, data and support considerations.
• We require a full driving licence and flexibility to travel between our terminals.
• Advantageous experience includes operational systems such as Terminal Operating Systems and Vehicle Booking Systems.
• Advantageous experience also includes Operational Technology, including hardware and software used to monitor, control and automate physical devices, processes and infrastructure in industrial and enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

• We act as the primary technology-facing representative for our product area, ensuring business needs are understood, prioritised and reflected in product decisions.
• We work across the full product lifecycle, evaluating current products, exploring future developments, assessing demand and value, and working with technical teams and suppliers to understand feasibility, capacity, risk and delivery options.
• We oversee product delivery and transition into service, ensuring solutions align with operational requirements and support our strategic objectives.
• We monitor product performance, define clear KPIs and use insight to guide prioritisation, continuous improvement and future technology strategy.
• We support container operations across Liverpool and Dublin, with focus areas including Gate, Landside and Rail Operations; Vessel and Quayside Operations; and Yard and Inventory Management.
